“IB PYP” Program

Oxbridge International School’s curriculum is vastly different from other education syllabi with the focus placed on developing children’s ability to think critically to make real life connections. Our IB PYP programme offers an inquiry-based and concept-driven transdisciplinary model of learning and teaching, supported by a strong understanding of how students learn. A lot of thought has gone into the design and structure of the curriculum which resulted in building an educational environment that is conducive to an IB education.

With the help of the PYP programme students develop knowledge, conceptual understandings, skills and the attributes of the IB learner profile to make a positive difference in their own lives, their communities, and beyond. Students also demonstrate the agility and imagination to respond to new and unexpected challenges and opportunities, and to take action for a better and more peaceful world. The PYP nurtures independent and collaborative learners, encouraging every student to have voice, choice and ownership in their own learning. The transdisciplinary nature of the programme allows the student to make connections beyond the subjects.

At Oxbridge PYP programme, we enable different opportunities for our young learners to engage, explore, inquire and critically think before they come to conclusions. Our teachers plan and implement purposeful learning engagements which will enable them to work in a variety of ways, on their own and in groups, to allow them to learn to their best advantage.
At Oxbridge International School we place great emphasis on English as it is the need of the times. Our students are educated in an international environment where most subjects are taught in English by international teachers. We follow a smooth transition process for our students from their native language to English. Because the IB philosophy places value on learning multiple languages, we at Oxbridge provide students with the opportunity to study Uzbek, Russian, Spanish and French as a core curriculum and Arabic as an extracurricular program.

At Oxbridge we teach for life and that is why, in addition to teaching, we are an institution that believes that we should learn as a community in an atmosphere of respect, solidarity and dialogue. Incorporating IB Learner Profile attributes into our educational programs plays an important role in all teaching and learning. School education is the school of life, where learning to communicate and learning in teams complements the curriculum, where communication between home and school is paramount.
We believe that every student is unique and special. We personalize attention by ensuring excellent coordination between faculty, department heads and the school's learning support department. We provide our teaching community with the opportunity to understand and meet the needs of each student in school life. The result of this collaboration is learning support lessons that include additional programs in math, ESL, speech therapy and reading.
